How to Defrizz Synthetic Wig

Hey guys.. I have something awesome to share with you guys !!~
Having problem with your frizzy wig??

I found Jeez Louise method and it works pretty well..
She uses Iron Curler but I'm using Iron .. kindly visit her blog if you choose to use curler.

TRY THIS ON YOUR RISK !!(using Iron)
1. Set your IRON to the lowest heat. (my iron has setting for nylon)
2. Grab the part of frizzy wig.
3. Try detangle them the best you could.
4. Spray some water on it.
5. Prepare yourself as you might ruin the wig.
6. Run the Iron across a paper to test the heat.
7. Place the Iron on the wig then pull the wig across it.
8. Quickly repeat step 3 to 7 again until it's totally defrizz completely.
9. Now move on to the next frizzy part.
10. Continue and you're DONE =D

**NOTE :
i. Never set your Iron temp too high.
ii. Start by small portion.
iii. If you want a curly wig, use a round wig comb and comb it right after being ironed.
iv. Steam Iron are not recommended.
V. Needs lots of time and patient.

And surprising it WORKS !!!

Though there's still a tiny frizzy part but it's whole lot better than before..

Orihime Hairpins

It's really easy and cheap to DIY a pair of Orihime hairpins..

1. Get your self a orihime hair pin reference and crop the flower out in PS and print it out.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/318oqF-es5L._SL500_AA280_.jpg

2. Print it with different sizes so that you get to choose a suitable size.

3. Cut the flower out.

4. As you can see, the paper is very thin and can folded easily.

5. Trace the shape twice or many many time on art paper to make it thicker.

6. Cut the traced flower out.

7. There you go..

8. Paste the traced flowers together.. any glue would be fine for this.

9. Place a toothpick across 2 of the petals and paste them with a super glue.
(this is the other side of the traced paper I used)

10. Place the original flower on top of it .

11. Make sure it sticks on it perfectly.

12. Notice that there are spaces between the original and the base (bcos of the toothpicks).

13. Use your finger nail gently press on the side of the petals to make them stick on the base.

14. This is how it should look like.. no spaces in between and look kinda 3D.

15. Saw those extra base, just cut them off to make the flower look more neat.

16. Time to stick the hair pin with the flower.

17. Just take any this kind of hair pin found in your house and turn them into a silver pin.

18. By using a silver marker pen and paint over it.

19. Adjust the pin where you want it to be.. and stick it with super glue.

20. Let it dry for a while before proceeding the next step.

21. Colour the back of the base with the silver marker and also recolor the hairpin.

22. OK it's done.. for a Orihime hair pin.. we need a pair !

23. Repeat the steps again to obtain another Orihime hair pin.

24. And WE'RE DONE !!~~

This is how it looks like.. Don't they look like the real ones though it looks bigger X3..

** I can't promise it will stay in good condition for a whole day.. just be careful when you're using.
** I recommend you guys to use a super super stick glue so that it won't fall apart.
** And please be very careful when you're using super glue.. I have hard time to wash off the gule .. sobs sobs..
** This simple tutorial is also suitable for any other hair pin.

Anyways, hope my tutorial helps !!~ =3

Puting on the wig

*made by Katasha
1. Lean forward and rest the front band on the wig in the middle of your forehead pulling the wig back over your head.

2.There are two tabs on the side of each wig that should line up perfectly on either side of your head. Make sure they are right in front of your ears.

3.Brush the wig and you're ready to go.

DONE !.. ^_^

Making a wig cap

*made by Katasha
(you NEED a wig cap for your wigs. Not only does it hold your hair in place so it won't poke through the wig, it also keeps your wig clean.)

1.Take a normal knee high stocking; a new one is best.

2.Tie a knot little more then halfway up and pull it tight.

3.Cut off the excess.

4.Now how to put your hair up all depends on what kind of hair you have.
--If you have really thick hair you want to part your hair into two pieces and twist it up the back of your head.

--If you have really long hair you want to twist it like before but circle it around the crown of your head.

--If you have thin hair you'll be fine just twist it up into one piece like a French knot.

5.Now to put on the wig cap you want to grab the front piece in between your teeth and pull it up over your hair and down the back of your head.
--You always want to go from front to back to catch your bangs.

--While pulling the cap back over your head, use your thumbs to stuff the hair under the cap.

6.Pull it down as far as you can.
--I have a rather low hairline so some of my hair does stick out the back and that's normal.
--Just try and stick as much under the cap as you can.

7.Use your fingers to massage the hair and spread it around so you don't have a large lump in the back of your head.

8.Pull the knot forward and tuck it under the front band.

DONE!!

Synthetic Wig Dyeing Tutorial

*Made by Firewolf

Materials!
(w/ approx. prices)
- 1 bottle (16 oz.) 91% Isopropyl Alcohol ($1.25)
- 1 bottle (3/4 oz.) Koh-i-noor Trans-Mix Media Brilliant Ink ($2.95)
- 1 wig head/form ($6.00)
- 1 wig clamp ($14.00)
- 1 spray bottle
- 1 pair of latex plastic gloves
- 1 wide-tooth comb ($1.50)
- 4+ sewing pins/T-pins
- various combs and clips may be of use as well.

Use at least 8 oz. of the rubbing alcohol, and all 16 oz. for longer wigs.
As for the ink, can buy it online at DickBlick.com.
I used a combination of Blue-Violet and Black for my dye.
A wig head is a must, but since wig clamps are expensive, can try placing wig head on a 2 liter bottle of soda filled with some water for stablity.
When pinning your wig to the wig head, 4 pins is the minimum.
Put one on each temple and one on each of the sides.

Next comb out your wig to make it knot-free from the start.
It's always best to begin comb the ends and then work your way upward.
If you just stroke from top to bottom, you'll end up with creating more knots than you get rid of!

Next is the mixing of the dye.
Just estimate depending on how rich you want the color to be and the length of the wig.'
Fill the spray bottle with the rubbing alcohol and add in drops of the ink.
Swirl it around a little to mix it up.
For 8 oz. you should only need 1/4 to 1/2 of the bottle of ink.
Test the dye on a hidden part of the wig, on extensions, etc.
If you are planning to cut the wig, dye it first and test the dye on a part you are going to cut off.
Remember to wear your gloves! You WILL get dye on your hands otherwise..

Now, spray the dye thoroughly onto the wig, making sure to include the underside of the hair as well.
Comb through the hair and spray any parts that were misse
Spray and comb until the whole wig was covered.
Be careful if your wig has a skin top, as you want to avoid staining it.

Once you're done with the dyeing, leave your wig to completely dry.

Rinse the entire wig in water in order to rinse off the excess dye.
Fill up your sink or a bucket and dunk your wig under the water and swish it around a little.
Get new, clean water and do it again, to see if there's any dye left.
Once the water runs clean with your wig in it, you know it's completely rinsed out.
Put it back on the wig head to dry completely again.

Here is the finished product.
